If your agenda is snowsports and powder, uncrowded slopes and an experience different from the big resorts The Burn is a great place to stay during the winter season. Based in the heart of Canterbury’s infamous club ski areas the surrounding terrain offers everything from the smooth groomed slopes of Porters and Cheeseman to the extreme shoots and bowls of Craigieburn, Broken River and Mt Olympus Ski areas. Club skiing in N.Z. is unique so if you want to enjoy some backcountry riding within a professionally controlled environment come and visit the Craigieburns.

After a day on the mountain come back to The Burn dry your gear in our walk in drying room ,tune your skis at our workbench or just sooth your body with a spa and massage ready for the next day.

Ski and snowboard hire is available by prior arrangement.

In conjunction with B.D.S. The Burn Offer’s a fully guided experience for those who don’t want the worry of transport, equipment and where to go.

The B.D.S. snow hunt is a package where you and your guide seek out the best snow, the best terrain and above all the best experience for your time in the area.
